This story was written because my son monopolized conversations, and then when he’d finished, he wouldn’t want to listen to what others had to share.
In this story I acknowledge and validate to the child that yes, it can be very boring having to listen to what others have to say, and sometimes you just don’t want to listen.
But then I help them become aware of the possible different emotions that they could be experiencing, and give reasons why others want to share the conversation too.
“Me, Me, Me” also shows your child the connection between, and the value of, choice and consequences, helping them to discover ways to share and make friends.
As part of the “Rules of the Game” series, this is my gift to you – it also gives you a taste of some of the other stories in the series as well. As you read through these books, you will notice that I use very empowering words and very successful, strong and amazing life lessons, for children to grow with.
